The paralegals at LZK hold four-year college degrees along with their paralegal certification and practical experience that equips them with the skills necessary to deliver the highest standard of legal support to our clients.
Kari Eschenbaum
Kari has been a dedicated paralegal at LZK since 2013. Known for her empathy and calm presence, she specializes in guiding clients through their most stressful moments — whether that means a phone call, an in-person meeting, or simply answering the question that’s been keeping someone up at night. Her four-year degree in Psychology and degree in Paralegal Studies give her a rare ability to build trust quickly, ensuring every client feels heard and respected.
Prior to joining LZK, Kari spent 7.5 years with the Minnehaha County Public Defender’s Office and six years in the acute psychiatric unit at Avera McKennan Behavioral Health. That experience shapes everything she does — she understands the human side of legal challenges and brings genuine compassion to clients navigating divorce, custody disputes, or criminal charges.
When she’s not in the office, Kari is all in — cheering from the stands, front row at a concert, or somewhere new with her husband and daughter in tow. She lives for the moments that remind you why you work hard.
